Resilience in the Midst of Trials

Speaker: Amy Willmann

Amy has spent a lifetime serving in ministry through pastoral leadership, education, and the nonprofit sector. She currently serves as Executive Director of the Nehemiah Foundation, where she leads a team dedicated to unifying the Body of Christ and advancing the vision of "transformed people, transforming Clark County." As a connector, convener, and catalyst, Nehemiah is passionate about helping the Church work together to demonstrate the love of Christ, especially to those who are marginalized and vulnerable.

With degrees in Music Education and Humanities, Amy's leadership has been shaped as much by beauty as by strategy. She believes music, story, and the arts cultivate the imagination needed to build communities of flourishing—to curate shalom rather than simply solve problems. Drawn to paradox and the richness of "both/and" thinking, she delights in discovering how seemingly opposite ideas often belong together.

Over the years, Amy has learned to embrace a leadership style that is both confidently authoritative and genuinely whimsical, marked by clarity, curiosity, laughter, and joy. She believes beauty and joy are not distractions from faithful leadership—they are essential to cultivating communities where people can flourish.

Amy and her husband, Bruce, are the grateful parents of two amazing adult children and delighted "Mimi" and "Pops" to seven grandchildren, with one more on the way. As she leads this conversation on endurance and perseverance, she brings a lifetime of ministry, a commitment to lifelong learning, and a deep confidence in God's faithfulness through every season.
